Terms of use & disclaimer
Last updated June 2026. By using Worst Eats (worsteats.com), you agree to the following. We’ve kept it short and readable.
The short version
Worst Eats is for entertainment. The ratings come from Google and reflect other people’s opinions, not ours. We can’t guarantee anything is accurate or open. Eat at your own risk, be kind to the staff, and don’t make life decisions based on a joke website.
1. Entertainment only — no warranty
Worst Eats is provided “as is,” for general information and amusement. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability of anything on the site — including restaurant names, ratings, review counts, addresses, price levels, opening status, or the results of any search. Listings change constantly and may be wrong, stale, or missing. Always confirm details with the restaurant before you rely on them.
2. Where the data comes from
Restaurant information and star ratings are retrieved from the Google Places API and reflect aggregated ratings and reviews submitted by Google’s users. Review quotes are excerpts of real, publicly posted reviews, attributed to their authors as Google provides them. Worst Eats does not write, solicit, edit, or alter reviews, and the opinions in them belong to the people who posted them, not to us. We publish aggregate figures rather than republishing or storing Google’s data beyond what its terms permit; our figures are refreshed periodically and underlying data is discarded.
3. Our commentary is opinion and satire
The names, jokes, “verdicts,” quiz results, tags, and editorial commentary on Worst Eats are opinion, humor, and satire. They are not statements of fact about any business, its food, its cleanliness, or its operators, and should not be read as such. A low rating on this site means only that a place currently has a low average rating on Google — nothing more.
4. Not professional advice
Nothing here is food-safety, health, dietary, or legal advice. If you choose to eat somewhere because — or in spite of — what you read here, that choice and its consequences are entirely your own.
5. Restaurant owners & corrections
If you own or represent a business and want to discuss, correct, or request removal of a listing, please contact us with the details. We take such requests seriously and will respond. Because ratings originate with Google, you may also wish to address inaccurate reviews directly with Google.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Worst Eats and its maintainer are not liable for any loss, injury, illness, disappointment, indigestion, wasted trip, or other damage of any kind arising from your use of the site or from any restaurant you visit. You use the site, and you choose where to eat, at your own risk.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t use Worst Eats to harass, threaten, or defame anyone, to break the law, or to scrape, overload, or interfere with the service. We may change, limit, or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice.
8. Intellectual property & links
The Worst Eats name, copy, and original design are the property of their maintainer. Restaurant data and reviews remain the property of Google and their respective authors. The site links to third-party services (such as Google Maps, Ko-fi, and GitHub); we’re not responsible for their content or policies.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. Questions? Get in touch.
